This episode is a contribution to our ongoing national conversation about racism. It is often said that white Americans need to listen more. One problem is, too many white Americans don't have close friends who are black. And if you do, you may be uncomfortable talking with them or asking questions about race. For this episode, I invited three friends and former students to share their lived experiences as black Americans. They are only three perspectives among many, but their thoughts and experiences are incredibly powerful. This episode runs long, because there was such an enormous amount to share. If you aren't able to "listen" anywhere else, I hope you take advantage of this opportunity. And if you are already tuned in, I hope you listen to these three additional perspectives.
